MPP Event at Queen’s Park Update

Representatives from HVV Canada’s Board of Directors hosted a luncheon at the Ontario Legislative Assembly (Queen’s Park) in Toronto on December 2, 2019. Every Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP) was invited to the event in order to hear about our organization and what our goals, aims, and objectives are.

MPP Rudy Cuzzetto of Mississauga-Lakeshore sponsored this event and overall we had over 50 MPPs and/or their staff join us to learn more about heart valve disease and HVV Canada.

We thank our Board Members, Lorraine Montoya and Rima Styra, who represented HVV among our guests and engaged in many conversations about heart valve disease and what the general challenges in the industry are. This event was an opportunity for us to introduce and build awareness for our organization with key politicians, as well as establish a foundation for future initiatives as we continue to grow and develop.

We look forward to continued engagement with our country’s elected politicians to raise awareness and understanding about heart valve disease. If you have questions or comments, please email info@heartvalvevoice.ca.
