Complimentary Stethoscope Check Event Update

On December 9, 2019, HVV Canada offered complimentary stethoscope checks at the Newmarket Seniors’ Meeting Place in Newmarket, Ontario. The initiative raised awareness for heart valve disease and provided individuals with both a convenient and easy opportunity to see a physician to check on their heart.

The Newmarket Seniors’ Meeting place was a perfect venue for the event, with much activity and foot traffic throughout the day and access to a private health room so we could ensure privacy and confidentiality in the check-up. Dr. Charles Peniston, HVV Canada Board Chair, and Nurse Practitioner, Lukshmi Pulle, volunteered their time to conduct the stethoscope checks We extend our sincere appreciation to the Newmarket Senior’s Meeting Place team, Dr. Peniston and Ms. Pulle for their support and commitment.
