On December 9, 2019 from 10:00am – 3:30pm, Heart Valve Voice (HVV) Canada will conduct complimentary stethoscope checks at the Newmarket Seniors’ Meeting Place.
A routine stethoscope check can be the first step in identifying and diagnosing heart valve disease. Our event on December 9 is an opportunity for individuals in and around the Newmarket region to come meet with us, learn more about HVV Canada and our work, as well as have the opportunity to receive a stethoscope check.
While this event does not replace or qualify as a formal doctor’s appointment, we will be able to provide education on the signs, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment of heart valve disease. For those that would like a stethoscope check, our on-site physician and nurse practitioner will listen for a characteristic heart murmur or click murmur that can be an indication of a valve disorder.
The stethoscope checks conducted at this event are completely voluntary and will take place in a health room that offers privacy to participants. If you have any questions or would like additional information, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
